Outfitter 75qt V2 Cooler

Overall I like it very much. Weve used it once on a roadtrip to san diego but havent been able to challenge it on a camping trip in AZ. Its very well built and I’m glad I got it to replace an RTIC ultra light which did not keep I’ve as long as we needed in the AZ heat.

I got the cutting board divider and my wife pointed out, it will be hard to put back in if you pull it out with ice and food in the cooler. So i havent tried that yet … but I’m not sure if the cutting board divider is a good idea or not. Maybe it will be easy to push it backin.

My husband and I purchased some very rural property with no electricity, no running water. For a while tent camping was going to be our only option. When it came time to purchase a good cooler I did a ton of research to see what was going to be the best value and durability for our money. I looked at Yeti, Orca, Wylld and Canyon coolers. I finally determined that the Canyon 75 qt cooler would be the right one. Of course, the popular brand to buy at the time was Yeti and some folks criticized my choice and poked fun at it. But after 6 years, countless drops off the back of tailgates and SxS, float trips and weeklong camping trips my Canyon has outlasted and out performed every other brand on the market! When other coolers had no ice left, my Canyon still had ice. I’ve made converts of friends and family. Can’t recommend this brand enough!

Absolutely love this cooler! Have had it a few years and now we have purchased 4 coolers. Just took this on a 5 day camping trip in 80 degree weather and still had ice when we got back.

Canyon coolers does it again. I have nearly every size of these coolers for the various occasions. Cannot beat these coolers, they hold ice for days. Our fridge went out in our camper last year, but luckily we had our cooler and swapped the drinks out for our food. Saved our week long trip and only needed one 7lb ice refill even with all the opening and closing we had to do for food.

Love this cooler. Appears to be well built and very rugged. I did fill it 3/4 full of water for a leak test, and did get some water to splash out of the lid…. I was hoping it would be totally water tight.
And since we will be camping in National Parks, I am hoping that the IGBC certification is still valid?

I used this for a seven day main Salmon trip. My ice lasted the whole trip, amazing.

If you are considering a Canyon Cooler you are likely a bit daunted by the price. I admit, I was. But I am very glad to have made the purchase. Let me explain.
First, as far as measurements and features, the cooler I ordered arrived precisely as described by Canyon. WYSIWYG!
Second, with sufficient preparation and ice (or ice packs) this cooler is amazing at maintaining food and drinks at a cool temperature. I've known folks who purchase warm cans of soda and expect a cooler to make the cans cold when the cans are surrounded by ice. While this may work to some extent, the cold is being 'used up' to lower the temperature of the cans. Not smart. Starting with cold items this cooler maintains the cold SO much better than any other cooler I've ever seen and for longer than I've ever experienced.
I had always thought that our previous cooler - manufactured by a huge national company who I am not sure I should name here but whose name is a standard for all kinds of camping/outdoor equipment - worked fine. Ice melted. Ice packs softened. Sooner or later (and sooner than I wanted) my food and drinks were sitting in water. I thought all this was to be expected. Boy, was I wrong!
Once I read about what a rotomolded cooler is and how it is made, compared with the injection molded cooler of the 'name brand' company I went with, I realized there was no comparison. I also inspected my 'name brand' cooler. There is no seal to speak of. The lid simply sits on the container. And, I discovered that the cut out handle actually exposes a gap. If I place a lit flashlight inside my 'name brand' cooler, I can see light streaming out of that gap!
The Canyon Cooler has none of these defects and significantly better features.
As for the price - I have two things to add:
1. You do not get what you do not pay for. You want a cooler that will last forever? A cooler that actually keeps food and drinks cool? Then pay for one!
2. If it helps, consider this: Part of the price you pay goes toward the awesome warranty Canyon offers. Purchase a top notch product and you pay more, but you also get top notch service. This is what Canyon offers.
Postscript: A note on service. Shortly after placing my order I discovered another option that allowed me to save a few bucks on an accessory I had ordered. I took advantage of that option and then contacted Canyon about removing the higher priced item from my order. My request was handled personally by a member of staff. I received an email indicating that my request was processed - no questions asked. This is how Canyon operates. And for all this, I gladly will pay a little more. So should you!

Bomber cooler - looking forward to many adventures!

Just returned from a 7 day excursion in the White Mountains of Arizona. Daytime temps in the high 80's with nighttime temps into the low 60's. Pre-cooled cooler and stores before use. It still had ice remaining when we got home! I did cover the cooler at camp with a moving blanket as I was not able to situate it out of the afternoon sun.
I've had brand "Y" products, and I wouldn't trade them for this one. Great products folks. Keep it up!

Cooler just arrived the other day. Very well built and ruggid. It is heavy but I have no doubt it will hold ice well. I can't wait to use it this weekend!

The new cooler took its first journey to the woods this weekend a performed flawlessly. Fantastic ice retention, it was great not having not worry about food spoiling which was an issue before we bought this one. Highly recommend any of Canyon coolers, worth every penny!!

We used it for our family reunion for transporting food and drinks. The ice lasted a long time on a very hot day.

I wanted to wait until I used the cooler on a long trip to review ice retention. I love the straight wall design it makes it fit in tighter spaces when packing. My 6- and 9-year-old can operate the latches unlike the bungee style most roto molded coolers have. As far as ice retention just returned from a 10 - day vacation filled cooler with 4 frozen 1/2-gallon milk jugs 8 frozen 16 oz water bottles and cold food when we arrived at cabin on afternoon of day 3 all but a couple of the water bottles at the top were still frozen. no ice had been added during trip. emptied cooler into fridge and re-chilled water overnight in freezer. next morning added 4 1/2-gallon jugs to bottom of cooler and drinks and 10 pounds of ice cubes and lunch meats and cheese in basket on top. added cold drinks as needed. contents remained cold for remaining 7 days I was very impressed. temps. were mostly in the 70's on this trip.

Nice cooler, poor latches. Latches started falling apart on the first 3 hours of the first day of using it. Very disappointed only owned this cooler for 3 days!!!

Haven't used yet but matches description. Very sturdily built and will be testing it out on a trip next week. I would have rated it a five but, while Canyon has fitted baskets for their other coolers, they have none that work for the 55 qt without modification. We did get the divider that doubles as side table which looks very well built.

I was super excited to use my new cooler and it did not disappoint! It arrived quickly and it has been awesome! Looking forward to taking it on many adventures. Just returned from a 4 day canoe trip to Arkansas and still had ice in the cooler at the end of the trip!

Awesome cooler. I still had ice in it after a 4 day camping trip. The cooler is a little on the heavier side. The only problem is that because they are a small company the availability isnt there on some products. I wanted the outfitter 55 but they only had it in pink and red at the time and I didnt have time to wait for new stock. I ended with the 75, which in hindsight im glad because i think the 55 wouldnt have been bug enough for my camping trip.

Brand new cooler, haven't used it yet. Expect great things as a few friends own one. Very excited to take it on it's first river trip in June.

Solid, spacious, and highly functional. The divider that doubles as a work space is extremely helpful. The cooler is heavy, but that's not a big deal. It's a great cooler.

We have only got to use it for a weekend, but we loved it, pulling drinks out I'd was like pulling them out of a freezer. We will be going on vacation soon and plan on using it! We can't wait to see how it does for us on vacation I do have think it will disappoint
